Los Angeles

I've been trying to get back into the swing of normal life since we got back from our trip on Sunday.  It's been tough, let me tell you, and I got a lot of blogging to catch up on.  So to start....

We began our vacation by making a short trip to L.A.  We left on Friday night once Ryan got done with work and it was our first time flying stand by using Ryan's flight benefits. We were thrilled to get on our first try!  And we even got seats next to each other!  So lucky.

Our flight out of Honolulu was at midnight and we slept the whole way to Los Angeles and made it there around 7 in the morning.  When we got there we took a little drive around La Habra and Ryan showed me around his old stomping grounds. We even found his house that he grew up in.  It was fun to watch him reminisce on old memories.

 Then we decided to go surprise Ryan's Nana and Capa by showing up on their doorstep that day. They were so generous to take us in, feed us and give us a bed to sleep in.  Even Aunt Marla showed up to see us!  We had a lot of fun catching up and spending time with them! (Sorry for the blurriness of this picture) (Also, Marla I need the picture we got with you!)

We will definitely be making more trips out to L.A. and hopefully next time we are there we will get to see the rest of the family too!
