D.C. part I- Monuments & Museums

Last weekend I had the opportunity to go to Washington D.C. with some of my classmates.  Our class got invited to the White House so we decided to go a few days early to explore the city.  D.C. is a beautiful place with so much to do and see.  Here are some pictures from our first couple of days visiting as many monuments and museums as possible.
Day 1: First stop: to see the White House
(This was right after we flew into D.C. on a red eye and our hotel room wasn't yet ready so don't mind the grunge)

 The Washington Memorial
 National World War II Memorial

Me and Tammy were unintentionally matching
 The Lincoln Memorial

That face was not on purpose, I was trying to say something here.  Unfortunately it was the only picture with all of us

This was the best pizza ever!
We did a LOT of walking while we were there
We went out the first night to celebrate one of the girls birthdays

Day 2 started at the Smithsonian Museum:

 The Hope Diamond

Then we ate at this awesome restaurant called the Old Ebbitt Grill

These were the best desserts I've ever had!

That night we decided to go check out some of the monuments when it was dark so we could see them all lit up
